I have to apologize. This list ranking has taken me way too long to complete and I apologize for sending this out one day past Opening Day and the day of Triple-A Opening Day.
You can view all all the prior ranking below with the provided links.
Without further ado, here is the prospect ranking 21-30:
Chase Meidroth
In 19 games with Salem last year he slashed .309/.424/.559 with four homers and 12 RBI. He will likely start back in Salem before earning a promotion to Greenville.
Brooks Brannon
Another young prospect to watch out for as he will probably star the year in the FCL as he only appeared in five games there last year earning a slash line of .462/.533/.846. He did manage to drive in five runs.
Elmer Rodriguez-Cruz
Cruz will bring his flamethrower arm to the Carolina League this year for the Salem Red Sox as he only appeared in two games with the club last year. Overall in his first pro year, he worked 38.1 innings while striking out 42.
Shane Drohan
The Portland Sea Dogs have a loaded pitching staff and it gets better with the addition of Drohan who worked 129.2 innings while striking out 157 along the way last year between Greenville and Portland.
Tyler McDonough
McDonough played the entire 2022 campaign with the Greenville Drive where he hit nine homers and drove in 48 while slashing .230.311.357 along the way as well. Not sure if he will be on Portland’s roster, but would not be overly shocked to see him start back with Greenville.
Luis Ravelo
Ravelo appeared in seven games with the Salem Red Sox last year and will return to the ballclub in 2023. In those seven games he slashed .240/.321/.400 and drove in one. He did strike out eight different times last year, so if he can manage to cut down his K rate, then he will be a productive player for the Sox in the future.
David Hamilton
Speedster Hamilton is on the WooSox and will be in the Opening Day lineup for the Triple-A affiliate. We highlighted Hamilton’s speed and his ability to produce on the bases. Hamilton likely won’t see the MLB this year, but next year it could happen.
Ronaldo Hernandez
Big bat Hernandez hit 17 dingers and drove in 63 more in his 105 games played last season for the WooSox. Again, on the WooSox roster in ‘23, likely won’t see that much playing time due to Jorge Alfaro being on the roster, but he will get his at-bats in. And when he does, he is must see TV. He likely won’t get the call to the MLB this year, but don’t be surprised if he is used as trade bate either down the road.
Ryan Fernandez
Fernandez spent 2022 between Greenville and Portland. He will be back with Double-A Portland this year. He worked 39.2 innings while recording 56 strikeouts and 11 walks between AA/AAA. Looking for a big season for the relief pitcher this season.
Alex Binelas
Binelas is a fun one to watch as well. Between Greenville and Portland, Binelas hit 25 dingers and drove in 78 while slashing .206/.307/.438. He will be a huge contributor for Portland this year. A call up to WooSox should not be out of the question. Especially if he rakes like did last year.
Just missing the cut in order from 31-35 are as followed; Dalton Rogers (could easily jump to mid-20s after season starts), Freili Encarnacion, Tyler Uberstine, Jacob Webb, and Taylor Broadway.
