Bruins place Taylor Hall on long-term injured reserve, creating cap space
The Boston Bruins have placed winger Taylor Hall on long-term injured reserve (LTIR). The move creates $6 million in cap space.
Hall flew back to Boston ahead of Monday night’s game against the Oilers due to a lower-body injury. Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery said the deal is precautionary, he doesn’t believe it to be serious.
Hall is reportedly seeking a second-opion on his injury.
This season, Hall has 36 points, averaging 16:00 minutes of ice time while playing in every game this season.
The news of Hall being placed on LTIR comes on the heels of the acquisition of Red Wings winger Tyler Bertuzzi and the extension for David Pastrnak.
Boston extended Pastrnak to an eight-year, $90 million deal ending his contract extension situation.
