On this episode of “To the Show We Go” Baseball Podcast, Red Sox pitching prospect left-handed pitcher Connelly Early joins the show. Early discusses his 2024 season, promotion from Greenville to Portland, his love for Kyle Teel, West Point, video games, why he chose UVA, strong dislike for seafood and more.
Connelly, whose real name is Todd, explains why he goes by his middle name.
“I've always gone by Connelly my whole life, because I have three brothers and all of us go by C names,” said Early jokingly. “So it's definitely a mouthful for my mom when she's, you know, trying to shuffle between Coleman, Cavill, Connelly, Calum.
“Like she's throwing all of them out when she gets angry with us or something like that, or she's trying to get our attention. She ends up just spitting all of them out.”
