Red Sox vs. Twins: James Paxton makes Red Sox debut, team travels across Fort Myers, lineups
James Paxton will finally take the mound in a game as a member of the Red Sox on Friday. The left-hander will start against the Minnesota Twins at CenturyLink Sports Complex in Fort Myers.
The game can be seen on MLB TV if you have a paid subscription and can be heard on the radio on WEEI 850 AM. First pitch will happen at 1:05 p.m. ET.

Paxton missed all of last season rehabbing back from Tommy John surgery and then an injured lat that ultimately shut him down in 2022.
The former Mariners and Yankees southpaw has only pitched 21 2/3 innings over the last three seasons. He returned to the Red Sox this winter after the club declined his two-year team option, he extended his $4 million player option.

Boston is coming off a 15-3 win over the Phillies on Thursday. Tanner Houck made his first appearance this spring and wasn’t sharp and struggled with his command in 1 2/3 innings, walking four batters.
Christian Arroyo provided a power outburst with two homers and five RBIs. Outfield prospect Wilyer Abreu added a grand slam in the bottom of the seventh inning.
