Red Sox prospect Ceddanne Rafaela leads all of baseball in extra-base hits
If your not on the Ceddanne Rafaela hype train, it’s time to come aboard. Rafaela has been surging within the Red Sox system this season.
Since his promotion to Double-A Portland, he’s hitting .305 with five homers, 14 RBIs, five doubles, two triples and 1.045 OPS.
What’s even more impressive is that the Red Sox prospect also leads all of professional baseball with 42 extra-base hits. Which is one better than Rafael Devers and Guardians slugger Jose Ramirez, per Red Sox Stats on Twitter.
Rafaela is seeing his hard work pay off this season on the field. It’s only a matter of time before he makes the jump to Triple-A Worcester.
“Moving up the rankings I don’t really let it get to my head, I stay humble and play my game and give it my all every single time I step on the field regardless if it practice or the actual game. It is an awesome feeling of getting closer to your goal, it’s impossible to explain, it’s like your hard work is paying off, the hard work is not done, but you get a little boost along the way. It’s just awesome,” said Rafaela in an exclusive interview with James Gravley of Beyond the Monster.
