Pirates acquire left-handed hurler Inmer Lobo in the Hoy Park trade
Lobo signed with the Red Sox for $100,000 this past season
The Red Sox swung a trade on Wednesday acquiring Pirates infielder/outfielder Hoy Park. Boston sent left-handed pitching prospect Inmer Lobo to Pittsburgh.
The 18-year-old pitched in five games this season with the DSL Red Sox. Lobo went 2-2 with a 0.82 ERA, 0.77 WHIP allowing 15 hits and two runs (both earned).
The 6-foot-1, 193-pounder left-handed hurler signed with The Red Sox last June for $100,000.
Here is the game logs from Lobo’s starts this past season for the DSL Red Sox:
Boston also signed former Mets left-handed hurler Joely Rodriguez for the bullpen on Wednesday. Rodriguez inked a one-year deal and will look to help a Red Sox bullpen that struggled throughout the course of the 2022 season.
