Castellanos is by far one of the hottest hitters in the Red Sox farm system along side Ceddanne Rafaela and Niko Kavadas.
Castellanos was recently promoted from Double-A Portland to Triple-A Worcester to help with depth at fist base since Triston Casas hasn’t fully recovered from an ankle injury.
Casas, 22, last played in a game on May 17 for the WooSox. He was then placed on the WooSox’s injured list May 22.
Castellanos was riding a season-high 18-game hitting streak for Portland and had it snapped during game two of the clubs doubleheader against Richmond on June 23.
In the month of June, Castellanos hit eight home runs and drove in 42 and rode a .279 average in 240 at-bats.
