Miguel Bleis is the next big thing with the Salem Red Sox organization behind Marcelo Mayer and Ceddanne Rafaela.
On Thursday night in Salem’s first game of the season against Delmarva, Bleis showed two things; patience at the plate and the strong arm from center field.
Bleis ripped an RBI double that scored Anbram Liendo. It was the first run scored of the year for Salem.
Bleis also made a terrific throw from center field throwing out a runner from tagging up from second base to third base.
A source told Beyond the Monster that Bleis would get “plenty of playing time” in Salem this year.
Salem and Delmarva will meet again on Friday for the second of their third game of the series with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 pm.
