JD Martinez and Christian Vázquez in lineup ahead of MLB trade deadline and rumors

Can this be the last time the two are in a Red Sox uniform

It’s no secret that the Boston Red Sox are shopping both JD Martinez and Christian Vázquez ahead of the MLB trade deadline.

The Houston Astros were heavily linked with Vázquez, but recently made a trade with the Baltimore Orioles for Trey Mancini.

As for Vázquez and Martinez in the present moment, the two are in the Sox lineup tonight as they prepare to face the Astros.

Martinez is the designated hitter and batting fourth while Vázquez is catching and batting fifth.

Nate Eovaldi, who owns an 11.08 ERA in three outings since coming off the injured list July 15 will toe the rubber for the Sox and he is also a trade candidate.
