Jakobi Meyers: ‘It’s hard to turn down Las Vegas’
The Patriots will be looking for a new weapon for quarterback Mac Jones, because Jakobi Meyers will not be coming back to New England.
Meyers is headed to the Las Vegas Raiders on a three-year, $33 million deal, with $21 million guaranteed, per Ian Rapoport.

The move reunites Meyers with former offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, who coached him for three seasons.
Following the news breaking on social media, Meyers spoke with NFL reporter Josina Anderson.
“It’s hard to turn down Las Vegas,” said Meyers. “When you look at their offense, when you look at their coaches. They wanted me, I wanted them. Unfortunately it didn’t work out with the Patriots. I put a lot (of) effort in my time there. I appreciate them, but God works in mysterious ways. I’m blessed.”
Meyers will play with quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who the Raiders signed on Monday.
The undrafted Meyers was the Patriots best receiver the last two seasons. The former North Carolina State product led Pats receivers with 67 catches for 804 yards and six touchdowns last season.
