The Bruins honored the 1970 and 1972 teams on Saturday night, re-raising their banners to the TD Garden Rafters. It was part of a ongoing ceremony that will honor players from that era. Jeremy Swayman watched as the team recognized the past, honored to wear the B crest on his chest and motivated to be that kind of player fans would want to honor 50 years from now.
Jeremy's dad was my podiatrist in Alaska - I followed him thought his proud dad as he rose through the ranks of hockey. I remember when he was drafted - they were Detroit Red Wings fans and dad said, 'well, I guess we are now HUGE fans of the Bruins'. Awesome family!!!!
