Red Sox pitching prospect Adam Bates played his first full season in Boston’s organization this year and he talks about adding velocity to his fastball.
“I was talking to our strength and conditioning coaches, our pitching coaches and they all noticed all of the work that was put into it,” said Bates. “I didn't meet my max velo, which was 95 mph, I think I hit 94.4 mph. So, you know, really close but, the average jump was really good.”
