The New York Yankees are in trouble. After looking like serious World Series contenders in the first half of the season, they’ve been just the opposite in the second half.
New York’s downward spiral now has them only four games ahead of the Rays for first place in the American League East. They’re also only three games up in the loss column.
Every non-Yankees fan has been poking fun at this seismic collapse by the Bronx Bombers. This includes WWE Smackdown commentator Michael Cole.
He would take a shot at the Yankees following the Rey Mysterio/Edge versus the Judgement Day match.
“You saw moments ago, the Mysterio family falling apart quicker than the New York Yankees,” said Cole.
His comments were in reference to Mysterio’s son Dominick Mysterio who turned heel at the Clash at the Castle premium live event in Cardiff Wales.

Following the Yankees latest loss to the Rays, manager Aaron Boone said: “If we don’t dig ourselves out, you’ll have a great story.”
It’s already a great story from a Red Sox perspective. Yankees fans are now feeling the same angst Sox fans have felt all season long. Similar to Dominik’s kick between the legs to Edge from Clash at the Castle, the Yankees are on the verge of doing the same thing to their fan base.
