WooSox players on the first round of the NFL Draft
The first round of the NFL Draft is set to kickoff on Thursday night. Members of the WooSox are going to be paying attention to what their favorite teams do over the weekend to improve their rosters.
Well, except infielder David Hamilton. He said he’s not a big football fan, he roots for players but doesn’t have a specific team.
“I don’t like any football team,” laughed Hamilton.
The former University of Texas star is excited that fellow Longhorn Bijan Robinson could go early in the draft. Hamilton acknowledged Robinson is the best running back in the draft, but remained firm that what happens in the draft isn’t a big deal to him.
Catcher Caleb Hamilton on the other hand is a diehard Seahawks fan and hopes his team selects Robinson.
“I would love for the Seahawks to draft Bijan Robinson,” said Hamilton.
“The Seahawks have been unlucky with running backs. But they also need help on the offensive line, so I could see them going there,” added Hamilton.
WooSox lefty Chris Murphy is a Jets fans and this year isn’t paying close attention to the draft.
“I’m not into the draft this year, we got Aaron Rodgers,” said the southpaw.
