What did David Ortiz say while mic’d up asking Blue Jays ace Alek Manoah how he’d pitch to him?
Red Sox Hall of Famer David Ortiz’ energy remains unmatched. The lovable Big Papí is well respected within the game and when he speaks his words carry weight. When he busts chops, they resonate with fans of the game.
During the 2022 MLB All-Star Game, Ortiz was sent to the American League dugout by the Fox Sports. Ortiz did not disappoint with a mic in his hand and the camera on him as he interviewed some of the brightest stars in the game.
The former Sox slugger would meet up with Blue Jays ace Alek Manoah and did a quick interview. Ortiz would ask Manoah how he would pitch to him if he had faced him?
Before Manoah could finish his response, Big Papí cut him off and said “Man, I’ll take you deep.”
Ortiz never fails to entertain fans with his personality and even though he was joking with Manoah, in his prime, he would take the Blue Jays hurler deep at Fenway Park.
