Watch: No. 1 overall pick Caitlin Clark ‘out of her comfort zone’ for SNL appearances
Caitlin Clark is going from a collegiate megastar to the WNBA as the potential next face of the league. The Iowa superstar was selected No. 1 overall by the Indiana Fever on Monday night.
Prior to Clark walking across the stage after hearing her name called following the selection, she made an appearance on Saturday Night Live.
Clark showed off her personality by ragging on Weekend Update anchor Michael Che for his history of joking about women’s sports.
“I don’t get nervous for basketball games,” Clark told NBC’s Stephanie Gosk about her SNL appearance. “But going in front of a live audience on national television, doing something outside of your comfort zone, is a little scary. My heart was pounding out of my chest.”
