Trevor Story with a mammoth 3-run home run
Story hits his 11th homer of the season in the 5-4 win over the Tigers
Trevor Story is starting to heat back up at the plate for the Red Sox. On Tuesday night, Story hit a massive three-run home run that cleared the Green Monster. The Story bomb gave the Red Sox a 4-2 lead.
Story’s three-run mammoth blast was his 11th of the season. He now has two homers in the last three games. His home run tonight came off a slider from Tigers’ starter Beau Brieske.
Over the last five games, Story also has hit .278, one double, two homers, give hits, six runs and six RBIs.
Story has a 22-game homer less streak prior to his dinger on Sunday. He is showing that when he gets hot at the plate, the hits and homers come in bunches.
The Red Sox have now taken the first two games of the series against the Tigers and have improved their record to 38-21. Boston now has a 38-31 record and has won another series as they’ve climbed back into the playoff hunt.
