Trevor Story a Boston Celtics fan?
The Celtics will be looking to sweep the Nets on Monday night
The Boston Celtics are looking to sweep the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. The Celtics will play Game 4 on Monday night from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
As the Celtics prepare to sweep Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant from the NBA Playoffs, there’s a new green teamer rooting them on.
New Red Sox second baseman Trevor Story as adopted the Celtics since joining Boston.
Story sat down with MassLive’s Christopher Smith and told him the NBA and NFL team he’s rooted for growing up.
“Dallas Cowboys. I grew up a fan of all Dallas teams as a kid. The culture there, it’s a very proud city. Certainly the Cowboys are No. 1. Love the Mavericks. Love the Celtics, too. Put that on the docket,” said Story.
“So is this a ‘I love the Celtics because I just joined the Red Sox’ thing?,” Smith followed up.
“Yeah. I like that. That’s part of it,” answered Story.
While Story is adopting the Celtics as a new team to follow, he is not adopting the Patriots any time soon. Story is a diehard Cowboys and his allegiance dies with America’s Team.
