On this episode, Red Sox outfield prospect Will Turner joins the show. Turner, Andrew Parker and Ed Hand chat about being drafted by Boston, struggling in 2024, his offseason focus and more.
Before Turner was drafted, he told the show he was going to be a fan of the team that drafted him. He talks about when he started to think when becoming a pro was a possibility.
“Honestly, like as long as I can remember, it was just something that I have always felt since I was a kid. I kind of have this sense of purpose that this is what, you know, this was a purpose that I'm supposed to fulfill is to be a big league baseball player. And, you know, I've never had like any doubts about getting drafted or, you know, playing in the big leagues or like going through the grind of the minor leagues.
“It's always been something that I've wanted to do and something that, you know, I guess God instilled in me from when I was a kid to work towards. And yeah, I mean, it's been for as long as I can remember.”
