On Episode 234 of The Pesky Report (Presented by Beyond the Monster), the crew continued their weekly look at minor league happenings in the Boston Red Sox system.
This week, your co-hosts Derrik Maguire, Hunter Noll and Jake T. O'Donnell started by breaking down the first three games of the Worcester Red Sox season. They checked in on Garrett Whitlock’s rehab start and talked about new approaches at the plate for Jarren Duran and Bobby Dalbec (and Dalbec’s new specs).
They also chatted about top performers in the series including David Hamilton and AJ Politi, plus recapped Brandon Walter’s tough first start.
Then, the guys continued their look at projected minor league rosters starting with the Portland Sea Dogs. They discussed Ceddanne Rafaela, Nick Yorke, Matthew Lugo, Shane Drohan, Luis Guerrero and others.
After that, they moved on to the Greenville Drive and marveled at their stacked infield including Marcelo Mayer, Eddinson Paulino, Chase Meidroth and Blaze Jordan.
They wrapped up by going through the star-studded Salem Red Sox roster including Miguel Bleis, Roman Anthony, Cutter Coffey and Mikey Romero as well as their intriguing pitching staff highlighted by Luis Perales, Elmer Rodriguez-Cruz, Noah Dean, Dalton Rogers, Luis De La Rosa and others.
They briefly touched on Brooks Brannon opening in FCL and the catching situation in the system at large.
