Rob Refsynder with the catch of the year for the Red Sox
Refsynder made a diving superman catch in the eight inning
It was a very anticlimactic game in Seattle until the eighth inning between the Red Sox and Mariners. The Red Sox got an impressive spot-start outing from Kutter Crawford and then Rafael Devers demolished a two-run, eventually game winning home run.
In the bottom of the eight inning with one out, right fielder Rob Refsynder arguably made the best catch of the season for Boston.
Refsynder’s superman diving catch robbed Ty France of extra bases and the possibility of the Mariners getting something started in the inning.
The Red Sox selected the contract of Refsynder for the series after placing Kiké Hernandez on the injured list. Prior to his call up, he was 2-for-5 with two doubles, one RBI and one walk.
Refsynder has performed well for Triple-A Worcester batting .306 with six homers, 14 doubles and 28n RBIs in 42 games.
