Report: James Paxton pulled from rehab start with the FCL Red Sox
James Paxton was pulled from his start with the FCL Red Sox with an apparent injury. The left-hander was reportedly pulled after retiring the first two batters.
MassLive’s Chris Cotillo confirms Paxton was pulled from the start due to a lat issue.
Paxton is working to get back to the big leagues after undergoing Tommy John surgery last season. He was injured during a start with the Seattle Mariners back in April last year.
The left-handed hurler was expected to pitch three-innings for the FCL Red Sox today, per Alex Speier of the Boston Globe.
