Red Sox vs. Twins: Chris Sale makes second spring start, Adam Duvall, lineup
Chris Sale will take the mound for his second spring training start on Saturday afternoon. He is expected to throw three innings versus the Twins from Hammond Stadium.
Sale made his spring debut against the Tigers on Monday. The left-hander threw two scoreless innings, finishing with two strikeouts on 32 pitches.
The 33-year-old left his spring start sporting a massive smile from ear to ear. Sale’s spring appearance was his first time on the mound since he was hit with a line drive off his left pinky finger against the Yankees.

“Today was a good day,” Sale said following his start. “Felt good. Any time you can roll out a couple zeros, that’s a good thing. So it's nice to get that first one out of the way.”
The 33-year-old topped out at 96 mph on the radar gun while mixing in his secondary pitches.
