Red Sox set starting pitching for first few spring games
The Red Sox have started to lay out pitching schedules as Spring Training games are underway. It all started today in the exhibition game where we saw Oddanier Mosqueda get the start and go one inning. We will see more of the same Saturday with an opener in Matt Dermody when the Red Sox begin Spring Training play against the Braves.
Starting pitching schedule:
Saturday @ Atlanta - Matt Dermody followed by Richard Bleier, Kaleb Ort, Wyatt Mills, Ryan Sherriff, Jake Faria, and Norwith Gudino
Sunday vs Tampa Bay - Josh Winckowski
Monday vs Minnesota - Kutter Crawford
Tuesday @ Miami - Corey Kluber
Sunday will be our first look at a starter this Spring, where Winckowski gets the nod. Crawford gets the chance to start on Monday, and he is one of the more intriguing guys in Spring as he is looking to be the first option for a call-up to start the year. Tuesday will be Kluber’s Red Sox debut this Spring as he figures to be a mainstay in the rotation this year if healthy.
