Red Sox promote two pitchers to Triple-A Worcester, one to Double-A Portland, per source
Portland Sea Dogs right-handed relief pitchers Wyatt Olds and Alex Hoppe have been promoted to Triple-A Worcester, and Greenville Drive swingman left-hander Dalton Rogers has been promoted to Double-A Portland, per source.
Olds, a 2021 8th-round draft selection from the University of Oklahoma, has a 2.80 ERA across 8 games. In his 18 innings of work, Olds has stuck out 18 batters, walked 12, and has a 66.2% Left-On-Base%.
Hoppe, a 2022 6th-round draft selection from UNC Greensboro, has worked 16 innings across 7 appearances. His 3.94 ERA comes along with a 9.56 K/9 and a 72% LOB%.
Rogers, a 2022 3rd-round draft pick by the Red Sox, has posted a 1.31 ERA in 20.2 innings pitched. Rogers had been dominant in his time in Greenville to start the season, posting a 12.19 K/9. Despite being a starting pitcher for the majority of his professional career, Rogers had been largely pitching in a piggyback role for the Drive this season.
Olds and Hoppe will be joining the Woo Sox on the road in Buffalo and Rogers will be joining the Sea Dogs in Somerset for their respective series that begin on Tuesday.
