The Boston Red Sox will call up Bobby Dalbec from Triple-A Worcester, per Joe McDonald of the Wocester Telegram Gazette.
Dalbec was optioned to the WooSox on Sept. 4th and despite his demotion has made the best of the situation. WooSox manager Chad Tracy has spoke highly of the power hitting first baseman.
“[He’s been] tremendous. He’s unbelievable. Actually he’s in a good mood. Came in and said hi to everybody. He didn’t mope or sulk,” WooSox manager Chad Tracy said. “He’s honestly the first one to show up to work. He’s out there for getting ready for the game, first guy out there. He’s been awesome.”
Dalbec has played 13 games with the WooSox hitting .250 with 12 hits, eight runs scored, five homers, eight RBIs, three walks, 14 strikeouts and a .563 slugging percentage.
At the time of his demotion, the Seattle native was struggling at the dish. Dalbec posted a .211 average with 64 hits, 11 homers, 36 RBIs and a .644 OPS. The 27-year-old struck out 37% of the at-bats at the big league level this season.
Dalbec will join the Red Sox in New York to begin a four-game series against the Yankees.

Is this the best use of a limited slot? Idk but they seem to be giving Dalbec yet another chance
