Raimel Tapia, Wyatt Mills continue hot Spring as Red Sox tie Astros 4-4
The Red Sox were back on the road on Wednesday with a game against the Astros. Astros pitcher Hunter Brown struggled to find the strike zone in the first inning and issued two walks along with hitting Greg Allen with a pitch that drove in a run. Both offenses were slow early in the game and that trend only lasted until the sixth inning when both teams put up two runs each. Both sides would stay pretty quiet the rest of the afternoon. Each team finished the game with 4 runs, 7 hits, and 2 errors on the box score.
Wyatt Mills looked extremely impressive in his two innings of work, allowing zero hits and three strikeouts. Mills appears to have a spot secured in the Red Sox bullpen at the moment, and his early Spring outings are surely helping his cause.
Kaleb Ort continued his rough Spring with allowing 2 runs in his two innings pitched. He gave up a pretty deep homerun to left center field and has yet to see good results early in the Spring.
Offense may have been hard to come by for both teams early in the game, but Raimel Tapia went 2-3 with his third double of the Spring. Tapia is currently fighting for a bench spot on the major league roster. Triston Casas went 1-4 with an RBI, Bobby Dalbec went 0-2, Christian Arroyo went 1-3, and Reese Mcguire went 1-2 in the game.
