Predicting Kristaps Porzingis’ point total tonight versus Wizards
How will Kristaps fair against another former team of his?
The 7-foot-2 Latvian center has been everything the Celtics hoped he would be through his first two games of the season.
In his debut with the Celtics, he faced his former team that drafted him 4th overall in 2015, the Knicks.
Porzingis finished with 30 points, shooting 5-9 from the three point line and 8-15 from the field. He currently has 47 points so far on the young season which is second on the Celtics only behind Jayson Tatum.
Tonight he will face another former team of his in the Wizards. I will be taking Porzingis point total OVER 19.5 with the odds being set at -120 courtesy of DraftKings SportsBook.
The Wizards have given up an average of 124.5 PPG through their first two games and their starting center Daniel Gafford (who would presumably guard KP), is out with an ankle injury.
The Celtics should look to continue running the pick and fade with Porzingis and with the plethora of drive to the basket type threats in Jaylen Brown, Tatum, Derrick White and Jrue Holiday, it should leave a ready to fire Porzingis on the arc.
