Patriots to honor quarterback Tom Brady at 2023 home opener
Tom Brady is coming home.
The Patriots will honor the future Hall of Fame quarterback at their home opener to kick of the 2023 season.
Patriots owner Robert Kraft made the surprise announcement on Good Morning Football Thursday morning.
“I invited him back to be with us at the opening game and let the fans in New England thank him … it will be the beginning of many celebrations to honor Tom Brady,” said Kraft.
Brady who officially retired during this offseason, or so we think will be greeted by a sold out Gillette Stadium.
Based off this announcement by Kraft, it’s safe to say that Brady is remaining retired from the National Football League.
It’s not known yet who the Patriots will kickoff the season against. The league will announce their full schedule on Thursday night at 8 pm on the NFL Network.
The Patriots host at Gillette Stadium the Bills, Chiefs, Dolphins, Jets, Chargers, Saints, Eagles, and Commanders. The Patriots lost their ninth home game this year to Germany, for a game against the Colts from Frankfurt, Germany in Week 10.
