Patriots linebacker Matthew Judon trolling fans on Twitter over “trade”
Last season, Patriots linebacker Matthew Judon attempted to play recruiter on social media. Judon tried to lure potential free agents to Foxboro. In most cases, he swung and missed.
That hasn’t stopped the four-time Pro Bowler from tweeting for potential players to New England.
On Friday night, Judon had an interesting tweet saying “Breaking news @DeAndreHopkins to the patriots 🤩🤩.”
Hopkins makes a bunch of sense for the Patriots. With offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien back with the team, New England will be in the market to add weapons for quarterback Mac Jones.
All offseason, many in the media have linked Hopkins to the Patriots.
The 30-year-old has spoken highly of head coaches Bill Belichick in the past.
If the Patriots want Hopkins, they have the ammunition to make a trade with the Cardinals.
Reportedly his cost is likely a Day 2 pick, per Chris Mason of MassLive. Which is worth the gamble for No. 1 target. The Patriots have No. 46 (2nd), No. 76 (3rd), and are projected to have three 4th-rounders.
If Belichick wants to add Hopkins and give Jones a legit weapon, he has the collateral to make a splash.
