James Paxton met with reporters following his second rehab start for the WooSox on Friday
Red Sox lefty James Paxton made his second WooSox rehab start on Friday night against the Columbus Clippers from Polar Park.
The southpaw threw 3 1/3 innings, allowing four hits and two walks, giving up two earned runs, while striking out six batters.
The Canadian native threw 70 pitches, 47 for strikes while seeing his fastball top out at 97 mph during the start.
“Fastball felt good, I still need to dial in the breaking balls a little bit. It was a step in the right direction,” Paxton told NESN’s Cooper Boardman and reporters.
