In his rehab start after being placed on the injured list since June 12 due to a lower back inflammation, took the mound Sunday against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.
During his outing, Eovaldi threw a strike percentage of 72.7% in his rehab start and he struck out four with no walks in three innings of work.
Due to only pitching three innings he did no earn the win.
Eovaldi told Katie Morrison of MassLive that he felt good after his rehab start.
"I know it's been a quick ramp up, but I feel really good. I know what I need to work on and accomplish. I think I'm ready if they say something,” he said.
Eovaldi has posted a 4-2 record with a 3.16 ERA in 12 games this season with 72 strikeouts for the Red Sox before landing on the injured list.
It’s unclear if Eovaldi will start again for Worcester, or if his next start will be with Boston.
But one thins is clear; Boston has been ate up all season long with injuries on the pitching front.

That’s a total of 10 pitchers who have been hurt on-and-off this season for the Sox.
If the Sox pitching staff can remain healthy in the back-half of the season then one has to believe they will finish first in the AL Wild Card race when the season ends.
