MLB Draft: Round One Recap

MLB Draft recap; round one.

The Boston Red Sox made some interesting moves with their draft picks on Sunday evening.

With their first pick, and number 24 overall they selected Mikey Romero, a 18-year-old shortstop from Orange Lutheran High School.

Romero is committed to LSU.

With their second pick, and number 41 overall they selected another 18-year-old shortstop. This time it was Cutter Coffey from Bakersfield, California.

Coffey is committed to Texas.

And with their final pick in the first round, and 79th overall the Red Sox selected another High School prospect in 18-year-old Roman Anthony.

Anthony is committed to Ole Miss.
