Red Sox pitcher Justin Slaten talks about whether it was hard to disassociate himself from social media during the season especially after bad outings.
“I had social media at the beginning of the season,” said Slaten. “Then when I started, when it got to the point where not just about myself, but then like obviously you start getting tagged and stuff. So then like your algorithm puts it together. It's like, OK, like he's going to be around Boston stuff. And then the next thing you know, it's like, I'm not even seeing stuff about myself, but just in other things.
“I think it was like at that point, I remember I was just like, all right, I'm done. And so like I deleted all forms of social media for, oh man, probably the better half of like three months before the All-Star break through the end of the season. Like I just didn't have it.”
