“A big one was just being away from my family. Fullerton is only an hour and a half to two hours from my house. My first two years, I went to San Diego State, so I was right at home.
“That was a big change. Even at Fullerton, if I needed a getaway, I could just go drive home and hang out with my family, see my family. That was a big adjustment.”
