Portland Sea Dogs starter Jay Groome Strikes Out 10
Groome strikes out ten for the second time this season
For the second time this season, Red Sox pitching prospect Jay Groome struck out 10 batters for the Portland Sea Dogs.
The first time Groome struck out 10 was back on April 30 when he did it against the Yankees Double-A affiliate, Somerset Patriots.
On Tuesday night, Groome struck out 10 against the San Francisco Giants Double-A affiliate, Richmond Flying Squirrels.
Groome now has 62 strikeouts in 62 and two thirds of innings this year and holds a 3-3 record with a 3.61 ERA.
