Jakub Lauko scores the Bruins lone goal in the loss to the Flyers on Saturday night
The puck dropped on the Bruins preseason in Philadelphia on Saturday night. With new Bruins head coach, Jim Montgomery behind the bench, the team is ready to begin a new era of hockey.
Unfortunately, the Bruins opened the preseason with a 2-1 loss to the Flyers.
Philly got the scoring started in the second period with a 5-on-3 advantage. Noah Cates blasted a power play goal by Bruins goaltender Keith Kinkaid.
The Bruinsā Jakub Lauko scored the teams lone goal of the night. The 22-year-old Czech center blasted a laser beam past Troy Grosenick.

The tie game didnāt last very long, the Flyers scored two and a half minutes later. The other Cates brother, Jackson Cates got a piece of an Egor Zemula shot to beat Kyle Keyser for the game-winning goal.
The Cates brothers provided all the offense needed in the win for the Flyers on Saturday night.
Thereās not a whole lot to pull from the loss.
The power play went 0-for-6 on the man advantage. During the six opportunities, the Bruins made 15 shots, all of which were turned away by the Flyers goalies. Which will be an area of opportunity, but keep in mind these are not all the regular starters for Boston.
The Bās will play again on Tuesday night from the T.D. Garden against the New York Rangers.
