Former Red Sox outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. is off to Kansas City. The Royals announced on Wednesday that they agreed to a minor league deal with Bradley Jr. with an invite to spring training.
The former Red Sox outfielder will turn 33 in April split time with Boston and Toronto last season. Bradley Jr. played 131 games, 91 with the Sox and 40 with the Blue Jays. He hit a mere .203 with four homers, 38 RBIs and posted a .566 OPS.
The left-handed hitting Bradley Jr. was designated for assignment after Boston acquired Tommy Pham from the Reds at the trade deadline.

Bradley Jr. was acquired by the Red Sox during the winter of 2021 in a deal with the Brewers. The controversial deal sent right-handed slugger Hunter Renfroe to the Cream City.
Boston received prospects Alex Binelas and David Hamilton in return.
The former All-Star and Gold Glove winner will look to hook onto to the Royals 26-man roster. He still presents an above-average arm and glove which allow him to compete for a spot in camp.
