He’s not a household name that many fans are going to drool over, but Hunter Dobbins is a name that Red Sox fans should start to familiarize themselves with.
On Sunday afternoon Dobbins struck out eight through five innings of work in which he only allowed a run on three hits.
The Salem Red Sox would only muster one run in the loss to Lynchburg.
The last time Dobbins worked five innings was on July 4 where he struck out a career-high 10 in which he allowed only a run on five hits allowed.
Dobbins, 22, was selected by the Red Sox in the eighth round of the 2021 MLB Draft with the clubs 226 overall pick.
