The Dodgers are calling up right-handed pitcher Dinelson Lamet, per Fansided’s Robert Murray. Los Angeles will be required to make a corresponding move to make room for Lamet on their 40-man roster.
Lamet signed with the Dodgers before pitchers and catchers reported for camp in early February. The 31-year-old has spent his whole career in the National League, outside of one appearance with the Red Sox last season.
The Dominican native tossed two innings last August, surrendering three runs on three hits, including a home run, and allowing one walk.
He also added a wild pitch to his Red Sox resume.
Lamet has pitched in 16 games for the Colorado Rockies before signing a minor league deal with the Red Sox in late June. He posted an ERA of 11.57 in just 25.2 innings pitched. In AAA Worcester this season, Lamet has pitched in just five games and posted an ERA of 3.72 in 19.1 innings pitched.
