First Looks at Fenway Park for the Winter Classic
The last time the home team that played at Fenway Park had a record above .500 was on August 2nd when the Red Sox beat the Astros to go to 53-52 on the season. That would be the last time they were over that mark for the rest of the season. That changes when the Bruins call Fenway home on January 2nd.
The NHL has its eyes set once again on Fenway Park for this season’s Winter Classic. The third ever Winter Classic was played at Fenway back in 2010, when the Bruins beat the Flyers 2-1 in Overtime. The Bruins got to host another in 2016, but that one was down in Foxboro at Gillette Stadium. With less than a week to go, Fenway is starting to look more and more ready for hockey.
