With the first three games of the 2023-2024 campaign in the books, the Bruins are off to a 3-0 start. At the center of their success has been a familiar face in David Pastrnak. While the NHL season is less than two weeks old, Pastrnak is already in midseason form and leading the Bruins offense.
During Boston’s undefeated start, Pastrnak has recorded five points and found the back of the net four times. He has at least one goal in every game and recorded his first multi-goal performance of the season against the Blackhawks on October 11. Although it is a small sample size, Pastrnak has been as dominant as ever.
The Bruins will need their talented right winger to continue his hot start as the season continues. That should be no issue due to his ability to create offense, regardless of the situation. That was on display on Thursday night against the San Jose Sharks.
With the Bruins already up 2-0 in the second period, the former first-round pick was skating to the net when he was tripped from behind before he could release the puck. Somehow, the puck still found the back of the net, and Boston had a 3-0 lead. The goal was the talk of social media and was an example of how well things have gone for the Bruins so far.
Additionally, the goal was Pastrnak’s 40th since the start of the calendar year. That is the most among active players. With Pastrnak aiming for his second consecutive 50-goal season, the last week has shown that another stellar year could be on the horizon for the Bruins star.
