The NFL postseason kicked off last weekend and for some teams that may be a good thing. For others it’s time to turn the page to next season. For the last couple of years one of the biggest stories has been “Where will Aaron Rodgers play or will he retire?”.
Rodgers remains one of the best quarterbacks in the league however the clock is ticking on how long he will continue to play.
Many speculated after last season he may retire, Rodgers clapped back by signing a three-year, $150.815 million contract extension.
Rodgers is coming off one of his worst seasons while playing with a young wide receiver core and playing with an injured thumb.
For the 39-year -old his future is still uncertain but earlier this week Rodgers said on the Pat Mcafee Show, “I think I can win MVP again in the right situation.”
As far as winning next season a there are only few teams that are best suited for Rodgers to go and take over the reigns.
Most notable ones are Las Vegas Raiders, who Rodgers could reunite with old teammate and star wide receiver Davante Adams. His potential running back Josh Jacobs is coming off an electric season and to cash in this offseason.
The other team who could potentially make a push is Indianapolis Colts who feature with Jonathan Taylor and Michael Pittman Jr.
This option could be interesting pending how the Colts approach the head coach position. Another variable that could affect his final destination is where Rodgers’ former OC Nathaniel Hackett ends up as we saw Denver attempt to bring both guys in last year.
This offseason will be an interesting one to keep up with as far as quarterbacks go with guys like Bryce Young and C.J. Stroud coming out in the draft and others like Derek Carr, Matt Ryan, Lamar Jackson and others possibly moving around this offseason.
