Connor Wong remains locked in at the plate, hits his 14th home run of the season
Connor Wong is locked in at the plate and it comes at a great time. With the September 1st roster expansion right around the corner, Wong continues to remain hot.
The WooSox catcher connected for his 14th home run of the season. Wong now was eight long balls in his last 15 games. His homer on Tuesday was a missile to centerfield.
Wong could be a candidate to get called up once the rosters expand on Thursday. In 319 at-bats, Wong is hitting .285 with 14 homers, 41 RBIs, seven stolen bases and a .828 OPS.
Fans are patiently anticipating the potential promotions of Triston Casas, Wong and Frank German. While the three names are speculation, they are names that have been swirling around as realistic call ups.
