Connor Wong hits another home run for the WooSox on Wednesday night
Connor Wong has been locked in at the plate over the last 16 games for the WooSox. The 26-year-old catcher hit his ninth home run during that 16 game span on Wednesday night.
Wong now has 15 home runs on the season and appears to be a lock for a big league promotion.
With that three-run homer, Wong now has 44 RBIs on the season.
Red Sox fans are patiently awaiting for Wong to get an opportunity to be the primary catcher for the major league club for the remainder of the season. Reese McGuire has been a pleasant surprise since coming over from the White Sox. Kevin Plawecki’s days on this roster appear to be numbered.
