Connor Seabold was dealing for the Worcester Red Sox but it wasn’t enough to captivate his team to a win as the WooSox fell to Rochester, 7-4. It is the clubs 10th consecutive loss.
On Sunday, Seabold worked six strong innings only allowing a hit and no runs while striking out 11, the most from him this season. He did strike out eight on May 10 against Rochester.
Seabold now is 3-1 and holds a 2.74 ERA over 36 and two thirds innings with 37 strikeouts.
Seabold threw 92 pitches, 66 for strike on Sunday. That’s a 71.7 strike percentage.
Ryan Fitzgerald went two-for-four with two RBI in the loss.
The WooSox (15-21) will try and get back in the win column on Tuesday, something that they’ve not accomplished since Thursday, May 5 during a doubleheader against Toledo where the two clubs split the two games.
Worcester next series will be against the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (13-22), the New York Yankees Triple-A affiliate for a six-game series.
