Chris Sale makes second rehab start
Chris Sale will soon be rehabbing with either Portland or Worcester
Chris Sale on Saturday afternoon made his second rehab start with the Florida Complex League Red Sox.
On June 20, Sale, 33, returned to the mound with the FCL club in his first rehab stint where he worked only one inning allowing a run on a hit while walking one and striking out one. The lone strikeout was Rays former top prospect Wander Franco.
In his second rehab start he managed to work two and two thirds innings allowing no runs on three hits and struck out six.
Sale faced 12 batters in his second rehab start.
Sale now has seven strikeouts in two rehab appearances for the Sox.
Reports are indicating that Sale could potentially make his next rehab start with Double-A Portland.
