Chaim Bloom on using social media to search his name and get information
It would be naive to think baseball executives don’t listen to their teams fan base. Red Sox chief baseball officer Chaim Bloom told MassLive’s Chris Cotillo podcast the Fenway Rundown that he uses Twitter to search his name to see what fans are saying about him.
Bloom said that he has the ability to see what people are saying to gather information and follow. He also made it clear that he doesn’t post anything on social media.
While he doesn’t indicate he has a burner account on Twitter, it’s clear that Bloom likes to know what the pulse from Red Sox Nation is on social media.
“It’s not something that I or anybody should make a habit of. I’ve talked to some counterparts about that here or there. I’m not going to lie to you it’s not something I’m proudest of. I’m not sure I’d believe anyone who hasn’t or claims that they haven’t just out of curiosity, um you know I guess it depends on the day of what you’ll find,” said Bloom.
