Ceddanne Rafaela unfazed in Double-A Portland
Ceddanne Rafaela continues to shine following his recent call-up
After struggling in his first three games for the Portland Sea Dogs, going a combined one-for-13, the Red Sox 27th ranked prospect has since been on a tear for the club.
He’s got four home runs, 10 RBI, slashing .333/.378/.788 in 33 at-bats for Portland. He hit his first home run on June 10 then hit his second the next game on June 11.
On Wednesday evening, Rafaela entered the game with two homers and five RBI on the year. Rafaela went two-for-four with two runs scored, two homers and five RBI in the Sea Dogs 6-1 victory.
Rafaela’s first home run of the game run came in the fifth inning, a two-run shot that put the Sea Dogs up 3-0.
Rafaela’s second home run of the game came in the seventh inning, another two-run shot that put the Sea Dogs up 6-0.
Rafaela also drove in his first run of the game with a sac fly RBI in the third.
He can also flash the leather in the outfield.
Pedro Castellanos would hit his eighth home run of the year for the Sea Dogs in the fifth inning.
Rafaela and the Sea Dogs look to win their second straight game on Thursday night. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
