Kettleers 9, Anglers 2
Brooks Baldwin and Tyler Johnson each homered as Cotuit cruised past Chatham in Thursday’s only game on the Cape.
Baldwin went 2-for-4 on the night with three RBIs to keep the Ketts undefeated, and Ryan Ritter doubled home a pair in the bottom of the fourth. Cotuit puts runs on the board in five of its final six at-bats after trailing 2-1 in the third.
Kettleers starter Kenya Huggins went just three innings before being relieved by Chris Stuart (1-0), who earned the win. Jackson Kelley was great out of the bullpen, recording the final seven outs, four by way of the strikeout.
Matthew Hogan and Paul Winland Jr. both had an RBI single for the A’s, who are now on a three-game losing skid. Marcus Brown added two singles, and Chatham left eight runners on base.
